I've never pulled a motor by removing the screws holding the mount, always removed the top nuts and rear bolts. It might be easier to do so I just have never done it that way

I dont think it matters dealers choice. On my set up the lags were easier to get to with a wobble extension due to a side panel that made the bigger nuts harder to swing off.

Only thing I don't like about removing the lags is messing around with a penetration into wood. Mine are gooped in there pretty good with 4200 now.
