I dont think it matters dealers choice. On my set up the lags were easier to get to with a wobble extension due to a side panel that made the bigger nuts harder to swing off.
Only thing I don't like about removing the lags is messing around with a penetration into wood. Mine are gooped in there pretty good with 4200 now.
Oh, I didn't know that you align it while it was still hanging. I had planned on using my brother's shop to drop it in, then once I got it home worry about aligning it. I just wanted it to be dropped in real quick. Is that a problem to do it that way? Or is it just easier to do it while it's still hanging?
Yeah that's what I had taken into consideration, the only reason I did it last time was so that my alignment would be pretty close to where it was (ended up being exactly where it was didn't even need to align it) . That's why I was asking because this time I'm going to have to align it regardless..
Okay thanks. I just needed to make sure it was possible without it hanging, because I might not have that option. I was just wanting to drop the motor in at my brother's mechanic shop and then take it home and deal with it from there. I didn't want to take up a whole bunch of their time
