Yamaha f115 tlry losing prime during idle

Those pumps could be in perfect condition, but if the low pressure is sucking air, it would act just like the OP describes. How old is the quick connect on the front of the motor? If using a remote tank, what about that connector?

    What Model is this?

Ask the seller to look at his paperwork, or better yet, have him take a picture of his paperwork and send it to you. That should clear any mystery about model, AND answer the next 2 questions. Is HE able to sell it legally, and does he have the required paperwork.....

Evinrude starts but shuts off right away flywheel becomes stiff

I recently bought a motor that was "stuck". I like messing with stuff like that. Long story short, the lower unit was full of water, no oil, and the driveshaft bearings seized..... "sticking" the motor.

    Planing houseboat choices

My thought regarding anything like a 40-50' pontoon is that it's going to get the living hell twisted out of it in any kind of weather. I don't know how you would get it rigid enough where that wouldn't be a factor.

    Serviced while winterized.

I'm thinking a lot of this is going to depend on who is doing the service, and what part of the country you're in. Talk to them!

Anyone converted a 30hp Honda 4 stroke to electric start?

I would imagine it's a pain! I don't think I've ever seen a 30 without e-start. I hate pull starting even the much smaller 4 strokes... I can feel for you for sure, but no help on a kit. If you were to find a 30 at scrap pricing (blown up/not running), that might be a good buy if you are handy...

    2010 Honda BF90D Issues

I don't remember how the 90 is set up, but on some motors, that water doesn't circulate through the motor before exiting there. I do know luke warm water isn't unusual. If you're getting a buzzer, I would not use the temp of that water to discount an overheating issue. There is also the...

1st time driving from NY to So Fla...route advice needed

I can't help you with a route (though it would seem 95 would be hard to beat), but after driving off the road a few years ago, and living to tell about it, I would NEVER advise or encourage anyone to make a drive like that straight through. There's very little to be gained, and it can cause you...

    2010 Honda BF90D Issues

It's almost surely a cooling issue. Did the shop install a new thermostat? Did they check the by-pass valves? Do you (or the shop) have one of those infra red thermal sensors you could use to see how hot it's getting?

Adding Grommets To New Budge Cover

I was thinking of something called a vent, but in addition to being a vent, they are designed to hold the top of a 3/4"-7/8" pole. They are maybe 4" in diameter, and clamp down on the fabric that surrounds them. Custom covers are generally doubled in this area, but the vent could be glued in...

    Engine Height

I think you'll find, maybe after looking at a couple of pods, that the transom is generally about even with the top of the pod - which mounts under the floor. You don't see much variance from pod to pod. In any case, they'll be quite a bit lower than the one you have.... Are you the DIY sort of...
