    1995 Force 50 Turns over, doesn’t start

IF???? you have spark, however small it's probably enough. It sounds like the fuel system might be the problem. You have a primer that shoots a small amount of gas into the carb each time the switch is activated, holding the key in only gives 1 little shot of fuel. To test: unhook the hose from...

    Tachometer for 1974 135hp

Won't work. You need a 20 pole tach. They went from a 20 to a 12 pole in the early 90's Google 20 pole tach and see what shows.

    1978 Chrysler 85HP Powerhead Swap

On the older stuff the gears aren't usually marked(unless your real lucky). You'll need to count the teeth Chrysler/Force used different gear ratios on all motors until about 90 or 91 Then they used the same gear sets on everything from 90hp-150hp including the L-drive.

    Odd running behavior

Try the starting fluid test: start motor, spray starting fluid around the intake side of the motor. If the spraying makes a difference in the way it runs, then it's sucking air and needs work.

    Odd running behavior

What's the rpm's in N ? Should be 750-800 in gear in the water. About 1100-1200 on the hose. Compression? These 2 cyl. motors can run on just one cylinder, make sure it's firing on both?

1996 Force 120 with crazy compression numbers

The factory doesn't really post the comp #s as they can vary so much. The later models were actually designed with the top/bottom cyl. comp lower than the two middle ones. The #s I remember are 155 #1/4 165 #2/3 I've seen the results as high as 175-180 on a 94 120 You sure it needs all those parts?
