New issue on the 105 water pump. Gearcase issue.

You don't have a thrust hub on that unit. I believe the props located with a pin. The pin keeps the prop spaced out so it won't rub. Look on the prop shaft for a hole and align with the hole on the collar of the prop. The latest parts diagram(74)doesn't show the pin??? Picture #2 shows the prop...

    Chrysler 65hp clutch dog problem

The Chrysler lower units were actually one of the best out at the time. There really isn't too much different than the new stuff out there now. The newer, bigger ones (from 88 to 95) can be rebuilt without shim tools.

The fitting on the bottom of the reed plate is for a hose from the plenum or carb cover .

    89 125 won't go into forward gear

From the pics: both dog and gear are ok. Nordin mention the shift rod, not sure of the turns needed in or out for the right setting. Under the bottom carb is the top of the upper shift shaft, you might have to adjust it there?? Once in a while I've ran across the shaft needed adjusting. Just in...

    1990 Force L-Drive 90hp -- Can't get it to idle -- losing my mind :D

Thought I mentioned bad connections on the trigger leads??? 1988/85hp: started off with an intermittent miss, once the motor got hot the miss went away. Then the miss became more pronounced and would miss every now and again under power. Then it became a constant miss. One lead from the...

85hp force will not start. Fuel not getting to cylinders.

You didn't mention the choke or primer? What system do you have? The primer can leak and cause a no start situation?? Not using the choke you won't get the enriched air/fuel needed to start.

This problem and similar problems, when it happens is the hardest thing to troubleshoot.

    1990 Force L-Drive 90hp -- Can't get it to idle -- losing my mind :D

Loosing spark after a moment= regulator, short in the wiring harness, stator, trigger, blown fuse(some Bayliners, not many, had a fuse under the dash). outboardignition.com has test procedures for your motor. Some, when they rigged the boat for tops and windows they would drill into the wiring...

‘83 Chrysler 7.5 replacement follower for carb throttle linkage

3D printer?? My brother-in-law has a 3d printer and from what I've seen that should be no problem to fabricate. Machine shop? Fabricate from aluminum.

Major two stroke screw up Force 120

As long as there's oil you should be ok. The TCW3 was designed to burn "clean" and regular oil and the older TCW2 and the oil originally used when burned it would leave a residue and eventually carbon would seize the rings and POW there goes another outboard. :( Bought a new 88 with twin 85hp...

    105 water pump

The housing's fine. They work with a lot more pitting than that little bit you got. But like Nordin suggested you can fill the holes with something like Marine Tex and sand it down. Way too much work for the results. The part# for the impeller is F438065 this changes to F 438165-1 the 6 blade...

    2.3 cobra shift problem now...?

The shift problem could be the bellcrank is bent??? The pic above shows the bellcrank. Take it apart and see if the part that is inserted in the housing is at 90d??? Is the interrupter switch killing the motor when you shift? Sometimes the tiny button slips off center and the switch won't stall...
