    4.3 Temperature Sensor

It depends on which thermostat housing so there could be two options Use same sender and go to hardware store and get a 3/8 to 1/2 brass bushing. Screw sender into bushing and bushing into intake If the thermostat housing has a 3/8 plug in it at the correct location, put sender in there and...

    Bow stop vs bow roller

I've had both and prefer the roller, that is unless its a light boat which doesn't have the weight to roll the stop. Everything wears out and have replaced rollers when they start to crack. I do like the yellow non-marking ones better

My first post - hoping you can help

The old prop can be put back on the drive and spins with no interference? Would like to see the back side of the original prop Most all require a thrust washer https://www.amazon.com/Thrust-Washer-Propeller-Mercury-135-225hp/dp/B01M0ID93X

    Alpha one transom bolt question

Doesn't appear the OP is coming back, but my comment/question comes from the year of the boat. Its a 1992 so it should be a Gen 2. A Gen 2 does not use the anode bolts

Volvo Penta 5.7 GSi dies when jumping b+b/w wires for timing?

The neutral button has been snapped off. Many try to remove the button without breaking but don't know how so it gets snapped off. Take a small Phillips screw driver and put it in the hole. Push it in a bit and see if it goes into throttle only mode. If it works you can then take it apart...

    Bravo One Cooling/Flushing

Assuming your talking about the hose in the transom assembly and not the hose between transom and pump. If the hose is being sucked flat I would think the hose needs to be replaced because its gotten soft Yes you can install a ball valve and Tee fitting between the transom and pump. One side...

mercruiser 898, won't run (or will barely run), at wit's end

set coil up with gap gauge and disconnect all wires off - post except one short wire. Connect 12V Battery to + side and then strike - side to ground to see what kind of spark you get and is it better then when distributor is doing it?

    4.3 Temperature Sensor

Thanks for the S/N, it uses P/N 860490T and original number was 97257A1 Marine senders use 240 ohms (cold/low) to 33 ohms (hot/high) You could try auto parts stores with a ohm meter to try and find one in the right range for cold, but unable to verify hot. This is one for $15 using older...

Urgent request: dealing with a fuel tank spillage on my '83/4 Islander

Don't know if the dark one is a hole Being there is no foam and its air, stick a hose in there a flush big time. Gas will float out and any water left behind can be sucked out or will evaporate over time.

Fuel tanks are self contained within their areas. If fuel leaks ot it will not drain into the bilge
