I will not put that cheap Chinesem stuff on my customers units. If a DIY wants to use it be aware that it may look the same but, usually they use sub quality parts. Also it may damage other components or cause a fire if it fails but its your engine.
I have used almost a dozen of these and had no problems. Just make sure the trim system has relays. It will need an adapter harness to backfit older motors. If ya need just trim mount one of these enclosed switches on dash or steering wheel.
The motor is hurt as you cant tell with it on muffs, needs to be under a load. It will still run but if it has transfer not for long. Also carbon will not build up in a single cylinder of a multi cylinder motor.
