    Pressure testing is simple, the issue is just drain all the AF. Could actually drain everything, then attach a automotive radiator pressure cap tester on the HX and pump it up to see if there was a leak

    Guys the kill switch is NC for I/O, 2 cycle OB use NO. Power from the key (purple wire) goes thru the kill switch and then to the motor and coil. When pulled it opens removing power to the coil. Bypassing it just takes it out of the equation for now

    Do not agree. Just the opposite, left post on solenoid (purple/Yellow, key start) gets power while cranking. Purple (key ON) wire thru resistor

    Depends on how bad the leak is. Not seeing how the HX or Turbo would induce AF in the exhaust. The HX has raw water on one side and AF on the other. If HX leaked then AF would leak into raw water side because pressure would be greater. Turbo has exhaust but only thing to leak into is oil...

    Less then 90* it is open, it's open at 118 and closes at 119. My comment was if it closed at 110 I wouldn't replace the switch

    OK the old one Don't know about the yellow. Normal would be black for Dizzy and Gray for Tach The purple may be the resistance wire and if it is, it may need to be connected to the electric choke. Need to trace that wire to determine where it goes to.

    My guess is wiring is not correct. The 99 harness would have only one wire which would be purple going to the + side of the coil. Points wiring would have 2 wires on the + side of the coil. Purple/Yellow coming from the starter solenoid and a Purple resistance wire coming from the electric...

    Agree its bad, but it list 110 +/- 8 which means it should be open between 102* to 118* If it closed at 110 but was open at 111* I wouldn't replace it Edit: agree I misspoke at first

    The temp sensor is a switch on/off. Put in water and heat it up. Manual shows If the coolant temperature is above 43º ± 3º C (110º ±8º F) the switch should be closed
