    You have to set carbs in water with a load. Cannot be adjusted on muffs. Starting setting is about 5-6 turn out and adjusted to final settings in water,in gear untied. If it wont idle at preliminary setting you have leaking side cover gaskets,leaking intermediate gaskets on throttle bodies...

    WME carbs use the same kit... carb number are used for identifying what HP they go on..

    Make sure you use the big rounded ear prop not the K style. The Merc 48-73132A4 with hub kit would work good. I use Propco props on all my customers toons and cavation is not a problem.

    Yes......but still in same shape for part resources. You will need everything but block to convert it, might be better to find a running powerhead and swap it.

    It takes years of use to warp a reed. Thats why it has a spec if its open a tad. If its a reed it does it all the time or it dont..they will not come and go on this model engine. Your lil motor is a tad different than posters as I have seen the reed stop alignment pin break and allow reed stop...
