Its on page 66 and should have the decal on cowl. Not rocket science, pump up bulb, pull choke. pump primer button 3 or 4 times and rip stater rope. Just like a chainsaw.
Dukes correct.... the horizontal front motas in late 89 early 90 was closer to 195HP. I have only seen several of these (seems rare?) most I worked on were verticals (POS IMO) noted for sleeve problems
Need to test stator with a DVA meter for voltage output due to ohms will change with temp,meter type,leads and if touching with fingers. Also that the high side of stator and only effects ignition over 2000 rpm
What is compression? Motor should spin a 17P easy on that hull. Will spark jump a minimum 3/8 gap on open air spark tester( not a neon)? If all checks good you have carb problems
Post the engine plate as don't see a 85B engine listed. And yes, I have the 85A manual. The pink wire connects to the CDI and triggers the buzzer or lamp for a overheat.
