    the oil pressure sender is right above the starter, could be the culprit clean all the oil off the engine, run at idle and check sender, valve cover and pushrod cover for leaks

    that is a starter mount bolt hole, no connection to any oil passages looks like you have some oil traces up higher on the engine, perhaps valve cover or pushrod cover gasket(s) leaking?

    no, the input shaft i was referring to inserts into the engine coupler. pull the drive and you will see it attached to the u-joint assy. rotate this shaft with the drive in gear and observe the propshaft (that the propeller installs on) for rotation

    yes, propshaft will not spin counterclockwise when in FWD, not spin clockwise in REV (RH propeller) did you happen to check to drive fluid level? possible you lost lube and destroyed the upper gearset

    check for blockage before and after the sea water pump. oil cooler(s) are known culprits for debris, blocked exhaust manifolds, exhaust flappers caught in y-pipe, etc... did you find/remove pieces of the old impeller?
