    boat storage

I feel sorry for where you live. Knowing those things, I choose to live in areas where shooting is legal. Even in our areas, the shooter is fully responsible for his projectile, no matter where it lands. I actually search for such laws when I move or build. On my road, every household has a...

    boat storage

Beg to differ there, been shooting for over 60 years, never in those years have I ever shot something I did not intend to shoot !! When in close quarters you use less powerfull airguns, even if a fiberglass boat were shot, it would just leave a mark no holes.

    boat storage

Airguns are excellent in close quarters if you know how to use them. I have a number of farmers where I shoot inside there buildings to control pests as close as 7-8 ft. Gotta choose the right gun and pellet...

    boat storage

Never had to shoot at fiberglass, in fact, never hit anything I didn't intend to shoot. With the correct pelket choice the pellet never leaves the critter, even as small as a chipmunk !! Controlled pesting it is called, been doing it for 25 years.

    2000 Johnson 40 hp Won’t start

Get a spark gap checker, cheap little tool that allows you to check spark and see how much of a gap it will jump. Should be able to jump a 3/16" to 1/4" gap, if not spark is weak.. If spark is good, add a small squirt if fuel into each cylinder....do not use starting fluid...see if the engine...

Thinking about an upgrade for the tow vehicle

If they are getting that much for a simple tow ( unless your a long way) mabey consider getting a big vehicle and pay for it by towing others boats !! I have a neighbor that has a 3/4 ton truck and he does on the side towing to make his payments, boats, dump trailers for fill dirt, concrete...

    Anchor line

I prefer the braid, more limp and easier on my old hands. The twisted 3 strand always seem stiff and more difficult to handle and harder on the hands. But to each his own, for normal anchoring you wont have any issues with 3/8" line as long as you get good line !! I havecsaw foljs at the...

Thinking about an upgrade for the tow vehicle

If you tow regularly, I would bump that rating higher.. Towing regularly at max capacity is asking for regular repairs often. If you only tow on ocassion, why not hire a tow service and save your self some big bucks. Friends of ours use a tow service on there boat, once at the start of the...

    Anchor line

Used 3/8" braid on my 22' for many years with no issues, but I don't boat in bad weather. If you like to challenge mother nature a lot, then you might need heavier line, but for general purpose anchoring, good 3/8" is plenty..

    Merc 3.0 Sterndrive Winterizing Question

When I had my 3.0, I just used regular antifreeze after draining the block. The idea was to push out any left over water a give some rust prevention or at least slow it down..drained it in the spring and disposed of it properly. No reason to make rocket science out of winterizing.
