If the Pin is the correct one. it is not likely to shear, as it would be Stainless Steel. The Props will have a Rubber hub to absorb the Shock of shifting Is the engine running on both Cylinders, at higher Revs?

WOT Rpm range 4500-5500 Mix fuel @50:1, use TCW-3 Requires BRP Premium Blend Oil for the Gearcase. This was originally called 'Type C' Gear Oil. how to break in a rebuilt 60 hp Merc 2 stroke ?

It was never Oil Injected, just an Oil Mixing system that added Oil to the Fuel before it got to the Carbs. This system was pretty good.

    Compression Test without a battery?

A large and powerful, non-Hammer Drill could be used. However Newton's 3rd Law would likely have the Operator going in Circles around the Engine

how to break in a rebuilt 60 hp Merc 2 stroke ?

While the Mixing System on the V6s and later 3 and 4 cylinder Loopers is okay, the 'Autoblend' System brought out for the Older Inline Engines, should be removed from the Fuel Line, thrown as far possible from the Boat, preferably into a Fire Pit.

    Compression Test without a battery?

The 115, consists of 6 relatively small Pistons, and once all the Sparkplugs are removed, it isn't too hard to turn over. I used to rope start my 84 115, as I was was too cheap to buy a new Battery. On a cold engine, it usually took 2 attempts for it to catch and run.

    Fuel problem

The primer bulb should be hard, only with the Engine stopped and the Carbs filled, once the engine is running, the inlet valve in the carb will open and the Line between the Bulb and the Fuel Pump is no longer under pressure, and the bulb will be soft. If there is a restriction in the Fuel line...

Running 5.7 without choke on quadrajet?

Gee, that's kind how my engine starts, without having to do any pumping of the Throttle, just move it enough, to set the Choke and Fast Idle Cam. After 20 seconds, reduce idle speed, and you are goods to go. Just stay below 2000 till the Engine Temp comes up.

Start with a Compression Test As for timing, there is no Spec for Timing at Idle speeds. Only Specs for maximum Advance, and another Spec for when the Carb just starts to open the slightest bit.
