    Yes Ive seen Toyota turbo diesel engines added to boats. Would it be not worth the money to convert it to a diesel engine? Yes I meant they just look like Trophys a bit, which imo are the only Bayliner I like, just my 2c.

    Im pretty sure it reads MFS30B 3AC (isnt the best pic in the world, but its definitely not a C after 30, although funny looking font B. So this means the parts for this model will be very different to the C model and may not be produced anymore?

    When did Honda first introduce the "Charging Systems" (Ports) for a battery on its outboards?

    Curious how far back these ports go, on the lower powered models you get 12amp on an elec start and 6amps on a recoil start. Just for future reference if buying a used engine, wanting to know when this feature was first introduced?

    They look very different, followed the ETec look that most engines seem to be. But have a 2014 30hp 4str, Im just wondering if the parts for the engine are the same and if they will keep making parts for the '14 model?

    Haha true mate. But as per above your post, I just hate seeing it there. We do not have that WD40 gel spray here, but Im just going to spray anti corrosion on it and ignore it :-)

    Cannot get that here. We do have a Synthetic Spray Gel that is similar, fresh and salt water proof. Or I can just put marine grease on it :)

    Im semi with you there haha. People should never rely on these things when trailering imo, BUT a lot of different brands say they can. I know with yamaha it is not promoted. It is simply for when leaving the engine in a tilted position for periods of time. I have always used a leg support bar...

    Thank you. Sadly dont have much spare funds for tools etc (have money set aside for servicing) Would engine grease or anti corosion spray be the best thing to put on it in the mean time until somebody with the right tools can get to it? I feel better knowing pretty much all of them rust over time.

    The date on the back of the engine says 11/03, but was told it is an 04 and there isnt an 03 operator manual or service manual for the 40/50/60. Is the date of manufacture different to what is considered its date for service manuals or sale etc?
