    The motor is obsolete if you want easy to find parts buy an Evinrude. There is a free non members want ad at the AOMCI ,if you are to cheap to pay for the help.

    Most people who end up trying to measure side to side movement on the fly wheel actually are pulling up on it.

    They all move a little bit because there needs to be space for the bearings to expand. How much is the question there is a spec. Have you pulled the lower unit off and checked that?

    I had that same hull with a 3 cylinder 50 yamaha and it ran ok. the 45 shouId be no problem. have always thought that hull was made for the OMC 3 cylinder 70.
