The story of two motors - 75 Johnsons

If you knew how easy it was to rebuild those motors you would do it. You could probably rebuild that power head for less than $1000 and it would be new. I dont know why more people don't.

    Amazing

The 3 cylinder was 1/2 of the 3.0 6 cylinder so it was a 1.5 litre. But it sat in the V6 chassis plenty of those out there. They were good sellers I owned one It was a nice motor. One huge advantage it had was because it sat in the v6 chassis everything was under the hood no external oil tanks.

    Wheel bearings full of water

Personally I do not think bearing buddies are worth the money. They really only lube the closest bearing and do nothing for the other one. So not worth the time or money. Make sure you are getting the right seals. Are you packing the bearings? Are you filling the cavity between them? Best way to...

    1993 70hp stumped!

That makes sense you have an 1986 block because those compression #s would be high for a 93 block. Somebody replaced the block at one time or another no big deal. The carbs and ignition will work fine on it. Those motors were not the smoothest idling motors so dont expect a lot..
