    IMHO... this is a standard magneto and both coils should show a reading from plug boot to coil secondary to ground.... somewhere from 3-8 kohms depending on manufacturer. could bad coil, bad HV connection (corroded) bad pin prick in the boot open plug wire due to flexing etc...

    post the resistance values as measured from plug boots to engine frame . look for a steady ohms value 3-8 kohms approx while moving the throttle from idle to high speed .

    2 years sitting....have you serviced the carbs ??? as a bare minimum have you cleaned out the High speed orifices the bottom of the carbs ...just behind the lower carb bolt have you checked all filters incl. tank pick up ??

    cylce the system a few times to purge any air...keep topping the oil after every cycle till 100% full
