    dual lines ended around 1960 's if you got a dual line tank ???? keep it if it his not leaking... parts are rare and in demand the motor side hose connector may be worth 50-75$ US you can sell it to a guy who needs one.

    what did you do to "clean" the carb ? did you inspect and clear the top drip chamber and the very small orifice feeding the top half of the carb via the side fuel channel ? see carb issues on older carbs yours has no bowl but basic issues remain

    if you pull the thermostat do you get water on top on the engine ? have you tried running the pump on its own to see if it pumps properly ? water tube grommets not crushed ? missing any parts on the old impeller ? tried a piece of heavy fishing line up the pee hole ?

    on the parts diagram the knob connects to a small cable which rotates a gear at the bottom of a vertical shaft.. presumably if you find the gear and shaft in your model one would think it should do the job of adjusting the throttle... please post your engine model on the plate

    can you try to JB weld broken area ... drill & retap as for gearcase pitting you could probably resurface it with some JB weld KwikWeld Professional Size | J-B Weld after a good sanding job.... clean all greases and dust mix up some JB and smooth it over the pitted areas let...

    progress..I get 12 volts on that wire. I get 12 volt into solenoid an Checking other points (like primer solenoid ) today ok if you have 12 v one of the control posts of the selenoid then the other small post would need to be grounded to get the internal coil energized on some circuits...
