    being a 1988, I guarantee there is wet foam in it on the port side unless you just did a restoration. there probably is also a hook did you drill-test the stringers on the port-side of the bilge?

    do you have paperwork with your boat from the prior owner? registration, etc.? if not, you may have an up-hill battle. see your local registration office. they will most likely issue a new serial number or HIN.
