    I've got nothing then, just know how it should work You removed the Tan wire (yours is Green) and have 12V on the post, not the wire. That wire feeds power direct to the coil and back to the key Maybe the new solenoid is bad, or its wired internally different

    It looks like both the ALT feed and motor feed are melted? If that's the case then it shouldn't happen unless the battery cable was installed to bypass the fuse
