    What fixed the seawater sensor? What is the motor serial number? Might be the Throttle body factory adjustment has moved. Look close at the stop screw and see if it has been moved

    Could be ECT sensor as tailgaters mentioned, also MAP sensor or if your running higher octane fuel then 87

    Did it run long enough for the motor to get up to full temp? If not then its running rich because its cold.

    MEFI code reader can be made with a 12V resistor type LED and a paper clip, or digital multimeter with tone and paper clip. Connect as shown and count the flashes with key ON and not running. Code (EDIT) 12 is all good and codes repeat 3 times then long pause and starts again

    Don't know how to test a smartcraft gauge by it self, but they all interpret data from the CAN network. If the network is connected correctly with a terminator then it should work.

    Withe the switch being a single pole double throw (SPDT) you will need a diode. If switch was replaced with a DPDT it could be wired without using a diode

    I would not use the auto ones unless your sure they supply at same rate. If new and old are installed in a test machine side by side and verify they supply the same amount of fuel. Otherwise you may wind up burning a whole in a piston

    The gasket blew between 3 and 5 so I'm seeing steam clean and not from fuel

    I don't see a lot a washing from fuel. Check the flatness of the head as mentioned prior. If its withing spec, clean, new gasket, torque to spec and run it
