    Does the charging system use an isolator or ACR? Start motor and measure voltage at the ALT and each Bat. Find the connection between ALT and non-charging Bat Otherwise remove cables and clean real good to shinny metal.

    Agree with drill but take the distributor to the bench. Grind the stud flat even, then center punch it. Drill the screw out and if need be, go one size larger and retap. Can change the dizzy cap screws to one size larger if needed

    Howdy Folks will have a hard time figuring out a knock without hearing it. You say its not from the motor, but being at 4200 rpm would have me thinking of preignition knock or a ping sound. Check you timing

    What is the motor serial number? Check fuel pressure, it should be 36 to 41 psi Use a spark gap tester and see if your spark is constant and either white or blue

    There are some tools but doing I like to final adjust by hand with the motor running on muffs. Would start by making sure there is 3 inch space as in pic. Then adjust using the tool or...     I have no issue with Champion but others do, same as a Ford Chevy thing Fouling plugs is its running rich. Changing the plugs will get it running good again for a little while and they to will probably foul out. Could just clean the plugs and it would run good for a while. Need to find out...

    No spark Replaced everything in and connected to the distributor. Swapped ECM and troubled motor ECM runs on other motor. Disconnected the Tach and still do not have any spark. Have 12V at the coil and wires between coil and Dizzy are good. Either the Tach wire wire is shorting out...
