    Good thought. If it wasn't for me having the coupon queen things like this would never happen. Use to always fill up before it gets to 1/4 but she wants us to get max all the time at Kroger. So this lets go a little longer all the time cost $19 for a can and saved $9 on gas

    Left/Right means nothing to me. Normally there is one switch with a center position which is OFF One direction turns Nav and anchor lights ON The other direction turns only the anchor light on

    2012 Caddy and gauge has never been wrong "until now". Tank is at 1/8 and light has not come ON. Normally goes much lower before it comes ON. Pull into Meijers to drop Admiral off for shopping and I'm going to get gas. Car dies, yes were out of gas. Pump is 50 yards away and I'm not pushing...

    In that area I don't see any way of fixing it prior to removing the motor. The motor has to come out if: The O ring is the issue The Y pipe is the issue The bolts are loose (can not get to all of them) The transom assembly

    The plug is oil fowled but the missing electrode says your running lean and preignition Check fuel pressure and carb settings

    Assuming this is a 1983 to 1990 Alpha, I don't know what that bolt is used for. You sure this is a Alpha drive?

    Plastic gauge looked good, so might need to be line bored and the crank checked for straightness

    I shouldn't have said it doesn't come off, it does but need to remove the bell housing on the out side of the transom assembly to remove. If the wire isn't flexible enough it could get hung in the bend. HE are normally not used with alpha drives because they don't move enough water

    It should be part of the transom assembly and does not come off. The hose makes a hard turn and down the inside of the assembly
