    8* BTDC S/N list TBI and its not the same across the board. Carb is 10* include inboard TBI and MPI is 8* Inboard MPI is 10* This does not include MPI motors after 2001 with flat distributor cap To place in base timing jump pins A and B on the DLC connector

    If EFI means TBI the your at 8*, but would help with serial number? Also needs to be placed in base timing mode

    The benefit is because you get in salt water and easier to winterize. If fresh then no issue with corrosion. Even if its removed you will need another thermostat housing

    You will need more then one Bat and best/safest way to install one is hire an electrician. Is your WH plumbed into the motor? If not that is the easiest way to get hot water

    Don't see an issue with the impeller, but using an Alpha drive with a HE is not the best. The Alpha may not move enough water. Maybe try something. Disconnect and plug the small hose (both ends) going to the top fitting. My thought is this might move more AF to the block when the thermostat...

    Good find on the bulletin Problem is need the G3 to know what needs to be done to fix, then a water test to ensure it has been done. So Merc dealer is only one that can find and fix the problem, and they get paid to drive the boat around

    Might have or have "had" a leak but the pump can keep up with most leaks. Unless your seeing a smelling fuel flowing out of the carb, that isn't the issue

    Have not messed with a push button one of your year. Does the button work similar like a car/truck? Push quick and ignition turns ON, but push with break peddle it starts. Basically want to see the ignition turn ON without starting The alarm is small and behind the helm, and not very big...

    Woops, agree Need to know which Gi Gi-A is 27 to 31 psi Gi-B and higher is 50 to 60 psi If fuel pressure is correct then need to check TPS and MAP voltages

    Check 12V at the alarm to see if power is there when key is turned ON If its there, check the other side when key is first turned ON. The 12V should go to 0V on one side indicating the PCM is signaling to turn ON.

    The issue with going from 225 to 230 hp isn't so much the hp as it will be the weight. If your thinking 2 stroke 225 to 4 stroke 115 that will be a bit more extra weight What does each motor weight?

    First guess is carb accelerator pump need replacing. Since it needs it rebuild carb while your at it When you pump the throttle do you get a steady stream of gas squirting in?

    I've got one of those 3 step telescope ladders on my cruiser, and have some frinds which push 400 and it was no issue for them. The issue is how the ladder is bolted in place. Mine goes thru 1/4 to 3/8 glass and 3/4 treated plywood behind it. There is a lot of twisting load I would think...

    Agree, but its backfiring and dieseling, so that's either wires out of order or timing is off. Neither should have changed but one or more did

    The mechanic broke a spark plug, got wires out of order or something else to make this happen. He caused the problem, now U get to find it Check the firing order and timing. Pull plug wires off to make sure their not damaged
