    Unable to say for sure but that would be correct for a Merc with a MEFI3 Try increasing RPM to 1000 before connecting

    Never done the plate but have done the holes on Bravo. I like how easy the reseal was. Tap and install plug. I thing the best method is pull the motor then the plate

    Thanks, TB5 and may have knock sensor The ICM doesn't get info from any sensor other then the knock sensor if installed. The alarm has 12V on one side and the Tan/Blue wire is attached to oil pressure switch. gear lube bottle, temp switch and knock module. Temp goes thru knock module Edit...

    Maybe a 470 guy will come, but ALT's work mostly the same way. Its either a one wire which has all the control circuitry inside and no excite wires, or the excite wires are connected externally. Take the ALT to a ALT/starter shop and let them test it and or rebuild. Is it a one wire or more?

    No At least every other year (Most due every year) the drive "should" be removed and alignment checked. Anything done to the motor should always be checked

    Yes.... With drive removed, insert alignment bar into coupler and check. It should go full in and out using no more then 2 fingers

    Being a bilge pump and not a blower, look at the specs of the pump you just installed. Should be no more then 10 but probably 7 or so

    Verified it is TBV (Part number on port side elbow) but do not see knock sensor mounted. Don't think the motor has one installed The boat gauge is off because IR measuring 120* on thermostat housing and gauge shows 170*. Measure temp at the temp sender and not on top of the housing Not good...
