    The real issue is do they "close" on the flat side If the points do not close, or if the points are glazed (meaning old, used points that need filing) then they do not make contact. If they do not make contact and close, then there will be no spark

    I like epoxy, but just don't see that alone holding the box together over long periods of time. Using dowels is classic build, and if it was anything other then a boat I would agree. I would at least tab the edges with glass prior to epoxy

    Another my Opinion: Seafoam is snake oil, nothing can be fixed by spraying stuff down the bore. Others like the stuff. Your motor has sensors which may have issues with the chemicals
