Volvo Penta GXi-E Low Power and 2 DTCs

IF it was in any kind of guardian mode, it would have no effect in neutral do to no load. Takes very little fuel to reach WOT rpm What do you mean by top 10% of dipstick? Its 10% over the full mark?

    Tilt trim wiring

All trim motors are 3 wire that I've seen. My old Chrysler OB's, one uses direct wire to a switch and another uses 2 relays. They both work

    Tilt trim wiring

Yes, thinner wires can be used Example: Motor may draw 20 amps at start up to full load. The 20 amps would require 12 gauge wire to from the pump to the switch. If a relay is used, it only needs 12 gauge from motor to relay, and relay to battery connections. Can use 16 or 18 gauge to/from...

    Tilt trim wiring

In most all cases its always better to use relays/solenoids then to use full power to a switch. The issue is corrosion and voltage drop. Using relays allows for the high current to remain at the motor That said, if wire is sized correctly and there is no corrosion, it works just fine The old...

    Help with DPS-B 1.95 outdrive

Never, ever, ever, ever, EVER buy injectors from ebay. I would not even buy them from amazon. Most all of them are old injectors which did not pass testing. There cleaned up and sold as remanufactured. Muy only from VP or from a source which sells 1st rate (Bosch, Delphi and others) and are...

    Mercruiser 228 Refresh

It all depends on how and where it was stored. Being in a dry place like a garage would be best, but if outside under a tarp or near salt water are things that could cause more concern If there is any gas in the tank it needs to be removed and tank cleaned. Fuel lines replaced with USCG type...

    Sea water pump

What you could do is disassemble the pump before buying parts. Could be it just needs a new seal and not shaft and bearings. Thinking the seal should not have come out unless there is a problem, so probably needs them but always good to check

I like it, and looks like the bearings a sealed so no need for grease Also he notes that using just a automotive pulley remover/installer is all you need, but he used a press.

    Mercruiser 228 Refresh

Howdy The older S/N don't come up by entering, they have to be found by looking at the number and comparing to the range This should be your motor. It comes up as a 260 but wouldn't worry to much about that unless parts don't come up as seen...

    Painting a new transmission

Don't forget to protect against galvanioc corrosion. Guessing your going to use steel bolts to mount the trans and motor together. Look for dissimilar metals and coat surfaces and fasteners accordingly
