Help with Trailer Lights - clicking surge brake solenoid

Going from your post 5 I think you either have something mis-wired or the vehicles tow package circuit has a problem. To restate some items; There should be no blue wire being used for any of the lights on the trailer. The trailer is just used for the reverse brake solenoid. You should not...

Bravo 3 gimbal ring moves up about 1/8" with swivel shaft. Any easy fix?

There isn't much room but the motor would need to come out to attempt. Once out you might be able to get away without removing the transom plate, but it would be tight. Here is a Bravo assy without plate. With the transom plate I replaced my pin, bushing and seal on this one years ago and...

Bravo 3 gimbal ring moves up about 1/8" with swivel shaft. Any easy fix?

Either your ring is worn or the washers which go between them are worn. Should have between 0.001 to 0.010 clearance with the tiller handle tight. To get at the nut you either need to pull the motor or drill holes in the upper section of the transom assembly for access

Installing a heater (Updated with pics)

Use plug 2 for the hot water feed Can use either a Tee fitting in the return hose or remove the plug on starboard side of water pump if it's there. Never said what year the 5.7 is. Cooling manual starts do not use hose larger then 5/8

    2000 7.4l MEP intermittent alarm

Your correct the MEFI 3 has the knock sensor built into the ECM. If your ECM is set up for two knock sensors and only one is connected you will get the same error. Note L29 engine is the only one which used two sensors. What is the part number on your ECM?

    Advice on mounting spotlight

I would do it like Grub mentioned and use air with a string. Drill one hole either under the rail in about the area shown, then have it come out at the end of the rail. Move the rail to one side and drill a hole next to the helm, seal it good and reinstall the rail.

    2000 7.4l MEP intermittent alarm

Sorry it's taking me so long to get back with, been out of town. Code 44 means the ECM is not detecting the knock sensor. It does this one time with each restart of the motor. When you first start throttling up it retards the timing until it senses a knock from the sensor. If no knock is sensed...

Hope a Johnson guy will come along and advise, but others use a terminal block and they are attached color for color. The cable your holding is what goes to the throttle start/control circuit. Here is an old Chrysler

    OMC Cobra/ford 302 - slave/assist solenoid issue?

Howdy The below pic shows a Merc but pay no attention to that. If all the wires are off the starter, and you are connecting the battery cable to the top large terminal (Red cable shown) and the starter runs, then you have a hung up starter solenoid
