    I looked up a plug for my 1969 25hp Johnson on the Champion Spark plug website. It shows that I should be using J8C. Crowley Marine shows J4C. Anyone know which one works best ????

    Michigan Wheel prop identification

    Found an old two blade brass Michigan Wheel prop. It has " AJ 704 cupped " stamped on it. It has 15 splines and looks like the old Quicksilver race props mercury used on their in-line sixes.

    just picked up a 1969 9.5 Johnson at starts easy and runs good except when you slow it down to idle it speeds and slows down and speeds up and slows down on its own. does this sound like a float issue? or ignition?
