    Backfiring 1971 60hp Evinrude solved...thanks iboats!

    the previous owner had removed the flywheel and did not tighten the nut down enough, the rotor loosened and spun, thus throwing off the timing and backfiring. the noch on the rotor is worn smooth, so i need to replace a rotor for a 1970-1 3 cylinder part number 392342 ? it is ring shaped. Don

    Sparks from under the flywheel...

    1972 60hp Evinrude. havn't got it running yet, but i now noticed that while cranking it to try to start it, i see sparks from under the fly wheel. what in the world would cause this?

    17' Nitro/90hpMerc setup

    hey guys, I just picked up a 1995 170TF Nitro with a 60hp merc. I'm taking the 60 off and putting on a 1991 90hp Merc. Any ideas on how to mount it for the best performance? how high, what prop? the 60 was on the bottom hole with a 12" pitch prop and did 36mph. thanks, Don

    1993 48 SPL carb adjustment
