    Been a little cold.

My daily boots are 5.11s. One of the few reasonable priced boots that have a blood borne pathogen rating. I love their gear.

    511 like 5.11?

    Been a little cold.

It was 85 and I waxed the boat Wednesday. It was a high of 39 thursday and a raining mist all day.

    Rotary Steering Cable.

More so, when measuring the way they suggest, do listen to that. I went from a detmar to a seastar and while I used the printed length on the old detmar, the new cable could easily have been a foot shorter and been fine. Measuring how they reccomended to do, the shorter one would have been what...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Wait... I thought goop was goop? Kidding aside, there is more complex thought in the last 10 posts than my entire engineering department at work is capable of...

    I HATE AUTOMATIC BILGE PUMPS!

Being I can stand in the majority of the bay that wouldn't be too terrible. Years back dad tore the camper back on the boat. This was before we had the cockpit cover so we used that for in water storage at that point... No rain forecast so he dropped it by our friend to repair it, maybe a...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I'd imagine a VE based filler/fairing material is easier to work with other than a shorter working time. Are the higher end gelcoats poly or vinyl based? Seem to recall them being VE. There is allegedly an adhesion promoter for putting gel over epoxy... I've never used it nor would I be willing...

    1995 Crownline 202BR Restore

350 correct? 12mm should fit the hole. Its a 1/2 pipe which is about 7/8 inch in diameter or so if memory serves. I'd inspect the oil pan carefully. The steel ones can and do rot out if you have one. Engine mounts if theyre original too I'd replace.

Thinking about making a trailer cover... Opinions wanted.

So I returned the carver for another carver. If I didn't have a swim platform you'd have thought this thing was fitted perfect to the boat. But alas with the over rail mount for the platform I am about 6 inches too short. (Never heard that one before) So I exchanged for the next size up...

Sorry, 1708 for example is 17 oz biaxial cloth stitched to 3/4 ounce csm. 1808 is 18 ounce and so on. CSM is chopped strand mat and is sold by weight.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

There's no stupid questions sir. The dumbest are simply the ones never asked. Went through this at work a few weeks ago. I'm not an electrician by any means but ours rewired a VFD cabinet and we were not getting any control of the VFD through the system. He starts ripping apart his wiring...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I watched a guy from bluewater talking about mounting height, he was saying every 10 inches back from the end of the running surface they move them up an inch or so as a "rule of thumb" Since the running surface is being extended here, they may not end up being "up" all that much. I'd imagine...

1981 Rinker with Mercruiser 120HP, In what order should I do these repairs??

48 is the oil seal, 49 the rubber shift shaft bushing and 50 is the stainless washer. 49 is a rubber washer where 48 is an actual lip seal and 47 the actual metal thread in seal.
