    Boats from work.

Crocs hold up to way more abuse than sea deck in my experience. :p I was today years old when I learned plasteak makes an EVA product. I had looked into maybe using that for my swim platform but after seeing a few of them in the wild... real teak looks way better. (And I have enough of it on...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Wish you were closer. You could have the rest of my CSM and 1708. It's odd, I can't really give the stuff away it seems.

    New old boat checklist.

Just peeking, looks like it may be a janome built unit and is front loading. (Both pluses.) If you can get a walking foot for it, do it. Makes feeding so much easier. Nice pickup!

One or two "ribs" extending to the gun wall will probably do it. A shrink wrap gun over the pipe forms it nice to shape

    New old boat checklist.

Just out of curiosity, is it an alpha? (I forget your exact year but early 80s are a little fudgy) The impeller housing are all the same but the lower plate is different depending on which revision it is. I would do the whole thing just because (and it sounds like you plan to) but that's...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Do they have a measurement for how flat it needs to be like the I/Os?

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Its that thing people do to experience the Renaissance but with modern amenities.

    TB V?

They all use mean best timing. The knock module gives a little more protection. No difference in the service manual for either timing curve, just engine.

That's by sir tabs a lot... right?

    TB V?

I think they all work with it but you would need the separate knock module as well. Service manual 25 has the wire pinouts.

    cooking

I typically have them pre packed in salt/pepper/garlic and frozen in vac bags. So it's as simple as just tossing them in before work... Easy. I prefer them on the grill but firing that up after being awake 18 hours can be... a fun experience. :ROFLMAO: The poke test is nearly fool proof. My...

    cooking

The steaks as of late are easy, I let the sous vide for a few hours then finish in the cast after a rest. Can't really mess it up that way. I did use it on that brisket and a few other pet projects... it's awesome just ebing able to walk away from the grill, oven, etc.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I may steal engineering on the fly as the title for the scrap book of my resto I'm making for myself. it's funny... I took measurements when I started and by the end I was just like "meh, close enough." Turned out right I guess. What numbers are you using to calculate the resin by chance...

    cooking

I caved and got a proper cooking thermometer. Not a wireless one but a good wifi one so I can check in on things wherever. :) (Waiting for Joe to say I told you so.) :p

No dipstick on 1989 era 3.0L?

Does it actually have a readout? Ours is L and H and is a fudged number sent to the dash... nothing else. There are numerical values accessible via the PCM data stream over the OBDII port though. The raptor/tremor on the 14th gen get the actual readout on the dash though.comparing the data...

No dipstick on 1989 era 3.0L?

I don't pick. I just deal with the aftermath of everyone else's poor choices and get paid for it.

    spark plug question

I would use the correct length plug for your application. IF the dieseling persists even with letting it cool after running, you can shut down in gear and that should take care of it. My 3.0l used to diesel a lot.... I suspect it was heavy boat with a small, over worked, engine. :)

No dipstick on 1989 era 3.0L?

That's all well and good if you have a TFT/Level sensor. Most I've seen don't. Fords oil pressure gauges are mostly an idiot light. My daily (not a Ford) doesn't burn oil. I check the level after an oil change and right before I am going to change it. There is a sensor that will...
