    Which kicker mount to install?

I would not trust just bolts and nuts as they could pull thru the fiberglass. Some type of backing plate will still be highly recomended !

2008 305 Conquest fuel tank sending unit access

If you know where the tank is located, start looking for a small hatch or cover. Didn't say it would be out in the open and easy to get to, but most mfgrs create an access hole for that purpose.

    Oil 4 stroke Mercury 115hp

Just look around at all the high performance 4 stroke engines, dragsters, nascar, Indy type...etc...these all run at high rpm, and they all have short lives ! Bottom line is, when constantly run at high rpm, it will shorten up the life span of the engine and increase the probability of a part...

    Oil 4 stroke Mercury 115hp

I will add this.....go to the Eway and get on, leave your car in first gear and go cruise at 70-75 mph all day. Lets see how long your engine lasts. Then take your boat out for a cruise, but do not exceed the 2000-2500 rpm that your car normally runs at. Using this comparison, how long will...

    Painting factory diamond pattern non-skid.

I painted some diamond plate years back, but the paint lifted in some areas. Then tried sand blasting the plate. Looked great and paint held good for the few months I owned it, but then sold it, so no idea on longevity.

    Oil 4 stroke Mercury 115hp

It is all about the additives that are in that oil. If your under warranty, definitely use what the mfgr specifies, after that, your on your own.

    Exhaust manifold discovery?

If they drained one, they typically drain everything. Why would anyone not drain the manifolds while your down in there opening the other drains. I would be concerned with the other maintenance or lack of ! If I his was done by a dealer, I would never go back to them......

    24v Battery Charging Options

All depends how low the batteries are drained. When I was running dual group 31 agm batteries, they would take at least 12 hours if they were low. My Lipo battery will recharge in 6-8 hrs when really low. Also depends on charger charge rate. After two years of running my LifePo4 battery...

    Oil 4 stroke Mercury 115hp

Wow......just another reason to stick with my old two stroke, looks and runs like new, two stroke oil is 22 bucks a gallon for Pennzoil...just for fun, I compared mine to a brand new Merc of same hp. New motor uses 1.5 gallons per hour less than my 1992 per factory quotes. Not sure I will live...

    24v Battery Charging Options

I would consider a 24v lifepo4 battery. I have been very impressed with mine. I get twice the run time from mine that I was getting from two agm batteries. Lighter in weight, less than half of the agm batteries. As for your issue with charging, solar is way to slow so without shore power, a...

    pontoon engine pod replacement

Go to a Fab shop and have one made, or have yours modified to meet your specs. Finding one already made will be scarce, very scarce.

    Exhaust manifold discovery?

Having an outboard that self drains helps a lot in salt water. Glad I am not close enough to salt water to have those issues.

    Too Much Prop Issue?

This glass boat is far heavier than my 22' aluminum boat. My boat runs a 19" pitch and the motor runs perfect. Still sounds like there might be an engine issue.

    Too Much Prop Issue?

If the block has been cracked, it would make maintenance issues come forward....I would definitely want a transom/ stringer check for soft wood.

    Too Much Prop Issue?

Whether prop was original or not makes no difference. Boats and motors don't just come with a prop. Props are always extra because each boat and motors is different. Once the motor is running at its peak, the prop pitch is adjusted to match the engine rpm.

18ft Boat Launch with RWD Suburban

Many of them use my launch ramp ! At one public ramp in my area, there are a half dozen picnic tables near the launch ramps along with a few nice shade trees. On a nice summer day, that area is packed with spectators laughing their butts of watching people launch and load ! Often a few...

    Too Much Prop Issue?

Water logged foam....it can add hundreds of pounds of water soaked up by the flotation foam under the floor. How old is the boat ? Gotta start with basics...compression test on all cylinders.....check engine timming,....is throttle open completely,....good quality spark,...unrestricted fuel...
