    see possible conditions these are for a 75hp ETEC not FICHT but possible same issues to check ... FICHT runs at 40 volts ETEC are 55v system

    you can do the paper test but in essence that is a last resort to test for glogged injectors or simple lack of fuel distribution . The fuel must first reach the injectors and that....is all the result of the High pressure pump to do it's job. check the HP pump operation first as well...

    looks like 1000 rpm are needed to generate 40 volts on the capacitor with just starting battery RPMS you probabaly wont reach 40 but you should see some upswing during cranking

    you have no current faults so don't worry to much about the past ... code 38s were a know issue but all seems ok now. on the ETEC owners site which will not address questions on FICHT you have great search engine to help out. you are back to basics fuel delivery , ignition (sparks)...

    check for accumulated crud/sand build up while your check things out (see a small MErc GC cavity full of junk) keep that drain open!

    the oil gets pushed up the hose with crankcase pressure on the down stroke...it may have a check valve to prevent the oil (and air) from returning have you tried sucking air out the bottom hose nipple to confirm the flow...OUT of the lower cranckase cavity ? are you having a problem...

    I guess it is possible the EMM was a victim of flaky cold solder joints much like an EMM can be damaged by using wing nuts on the battery post keep us posted ! good find on the PDP !!

    here is my puller.... I installed some inverted nylon lock nuts to keep me from screwing the bolts to deep in the flywheel and hitting parts under it. I use a small 1/4 inch impact driver & socket to pop the FW OMC pullers are even better but for us occasionnal users these harmonic...

    get a inexpensive harmonic puller... pop the flywheel and check for cracked coils...
