    While Transfer Port Covers are off, check to see if the Rings have Spring Tension. Take a Flat Blade Screwdriver, and press against each Ring individually, a Good Ring will move inward and spring back. As for that Oil, there seems to be an awful lot of it on the Outside of the Water Jacket

    The Rope Start Motor, only had the Manual Choke, unless the Electric Start Accessory Kit was added later. Electric Start Models came with the Electric Choke but still retained the Manual Choke, though I don't think they came with a Recoil Starter.
