    some of the plugs seat too deep and may hit pistons. Just use old plug and measure, just to be sure. I believe MR43LTS will work fine....

    Someone or ones' battery charger or shore power is putting stray currents in water and currents eat paint to get at metal on OD. Just a guess..... I never store my boat wet. I trailer it and never have had an issue. I learned decades ago with an OMC. Good luck!

    Unfortunately, used boats and motor swaps and OD swaps happen over decades. I still have not been able to clearly see my engine serial numbers and if I can find it, I suspect that it is an auto marine conversion. Mine is a 1986.
