1993 Johnson 9.9 lower cylinder wet.

You will need to take the pump apart to inspect the diaphragm. You would be looking for tears or even a very small pinhole. No fuel should come out of the hole in the back. That hole is for the pulse that operates the pump. If the diaphragm has a hole it will deliver to much fuel If it were...

Don’t blame you one bit. I always bring food and drinks when I’m invited somewhere and I’m all happy to help out. It’s just the right thing to do.

This has reminded me of a friend that did an assisted death. She had brain cancer and was ready to go so they found a doc in California and her last drink was a martini with whatever they use and she was surrounded by her family. That’s a good way to go out in my eyes.

USPS, How does this even happen. Comical

I live on an island and years ago you could send mail to someone in the same town or another island town and it would be there the next day. Now it goes off island to RI for sorting and then comes back in about 4 or 5 days. It makes no sense to me but I’m sure there is reason.

    Prop / prop shaft damage

I know a guy that had his lower replaced and somewhere along the way they disconnected the no oil alarm and the engine seized as a result. The shipyard that did the work owned up to the mistake and replaced the power head on their dime. I was impressed that they didn’t try to get out of it in...

    There almost here

When I lived in Fl they would come come up Into the canals in the winter for the warmer water and even then they didn’t move much. They definitely don’t do well in cool water. They have been spotted up here on Cape Cod a few times over the years.

Piston soaking a 2 cycle outboard?

That will be my next stop if I can’t get it this time. I have a small torch tip that should deliver some heat without over doing it. I just redid the whole front end and this is the last pice of the puzzle. But really that joint is tight anyway so I’m to worried about it and have lots of time to...

Piston soaking a 2 cycle outboard?

I keep a spray bottle handy of the 50/50 mix for rusty parts. I love it. I have been spraying the pitman arm on my 4 runner daily for the past week as I have broken all 4 of my pullers on it. New puller’s are on the way we’ll see what happens.

Piston soaking a 2 cycle outboard?

This is bringing back memories of using Marvels Mystery Oil in my 65 Rivera. A few weeks after that I broke a few rings and had to rebuild.

Has anybody painted their bilge glossy grey with the total boat epoxy?

I have used it. It dries a bit lighter than what’s in the can. It’s very tough stuff. Don’t have a pic handy.

    New project

I picked up a Troy Bilt tiller yesterday looks to be a junior model. It’s in over all good shape and is well worth my effort bring it back to life. The carb is pretty rough and has a lot of internal corrosion and the needles are shot but it should at least be good enough to see if she runs. It...

    Showing my Tri-axle Trailer some TLC . . .

I use the Permatex ceramic on the slide pins. It’s the pupe stuff. It makes a big difference on how well the calipers slide.
