Try a couple of tips to keep from losing roller nap in your paint...
Apply some sticky tape to the nap and rip it off, till no more nap comes off or you end up with a bald roller...

Use JL's fine wire hair brush to comb the nap free of loose fibers, just don't tell him you used his brush...maybe even brush him first to keep some of his hairs from getting in the paint...
