I'm really liking the seats... they look versatile and comfortable.. I remember them coming out of the center console glasser you euthanized, and I was hoping you would find a use for 'em... I tell you what, that glasser was like the giving tree... you got a lot of loot out of that one...

Looking great...

I think you are going to really enjoy this boat. It looks awesome and is very well planned out with alot of thought and details.
Seats look good in the pics. Looking forward to seeing more geat work.

Thanks man! Yah, that glitter boat had a ton of useable/saleable stuff, that was such a super deal!:D

OK Decker, I totally haze glass boats on this thread at every opportunity. I even take opportunities when I shouldn't! And yet, you swing through and say nice words all the time about the metal boat counter part.

I have to say, you my friend are a model iboat citizen!:D:D

From here on, no more trash talk about bondo boats for me!;)

(yah right:eek:)

Man I can't wait to get em in!:D

OK, couple of random items:

Here's that baitwell pump with the bracket that I failed to show a photo of...

I feel way better knowing that pump is properly supported. I'm certain that gear thrown in the hatch there would have snapped it off otherwise.

I got the trailer guide on's installed...

I would have rather had them behind the fender but with the boat being quite a bit wider at midships than at the stern and the shape of the trailer that was the only place they would work.

I got a black pair of these on the way which will make the set up look pretty sharp...

K, one of the seats was kinda crushed/cracked on the bottom side. You can see that somebody attempted to repair with fiberglass...

Soooooooo, silly! Seriously, who would use fiberglass in any kind of boat construction:rolleyes:

I tore all that out of there and drilled out all the crack ends so they wouldn't spread.

Then, I grabbed my favorite boat building materials, aluminum, stainless steel and 3M 5200 to shape and install this big ol patch...

That should do the trick:D

nice repair job but the proper way would be to have ground down the fiberglass to get to new substrate and start again with the 1708....

Actually Roger, these are molded plastic. Those fiberglass patches there just fell off when I unbolted the bracket. No grinding necessary;)

Why have the guide-ons so far forward? Does this aid in loading, etc?

Uh, yeah, 'owned' w/ the intent to rehab. Intro to the Jas glitter boat grinder isn't quite the same....

PS: overexposure to Aluminum causes premature Alzheimer's  Normal daily uptake from just living is 3-5mg/day of aluminum. You too, may, be over the daily recommended dosage.....

But at least your lungs will be clear. Now, if you could just remember where you left the boat keys, maybe we could go for a boat ride..;)

I am a stupid spammer busted and vaporized because of the due diligence of the great iboats member's.......... nothing left but the ashes from the napalm used on me!!

Man how I wish somebody local carried folder gluer machines! Oh well, looks like I'll need to hike all the way to India to grab one:rolleyes:

Did you buy or fabricate the guide ons? I have been thinking about adding some with some lights for night trailering and wind. I was figuring on doing some research in the trailer section, but if you are going to put it out there on a platter for me... :)

Actually, those were a local craigslist score, brand new never installed, 25 bux:cool:

I thought about fabbing up my own and figured they could be done for a fraction of the cost @ new.

Looking great Jason!

Thought I would post some proof that the fish are naturally attracted to the Sea Nymphs, hold the haiku (for now).
