I dig the horn also... It just fits nicely with the look of the boat, and it's plain old FUN! Like I said ya can always take it off Brah!

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I dig the horn. It's slightly eccentric touches like this that make your boat truly unique.

Ultimately, I don't really think it matters what anyone other than you and the Mrs. think about it. Screw the Haters. :p

Those LED's look amazing. I know superbrightLEDS has a similar strip, I'd be curious to know how much they were from ebay, and how they hold up. I might have to steal that idea for my soon to be purchased sea nymph.

Awesome builds! Your threads have a ton of value for anyone who is starting out in the the boat rebuilding world.
Which i will be. My 92 year old gramps just passed away and I will be getting his 1972 18Ft Starcraft Holiday that he bought new! It is far from new looking, might be in worse shape then the boats you have used. After reading all your threads I feel I have a solid foundation of knowledge to start my own rebuild. Thank you!

Good look with the rest of your work and looking forward to the finished projects on both boats!

PS- your resourcefulness resonates big time with me as well. You seem have to knack for knowing when to reuse
and when to buy retail. Its a big time help!

WOW! Another new iboater, sweet!! Welcome saws:D

The 18' Starcraft Holiday is a fantastic all around boat and I'm sure you'll love it;) Even better it's been passed down to you, that is really cool.

Thanks for the kind words man! You guys are going to make my hats too small eh. I'm glad the vets are here to keep me in check. One of em should be along shortly to give me a kick in the junk about my ridiculous looking horn:p

Thanks for stopping in, cheers:)

I won't "nag", but as a Hearing Aid guy I will remind you that Acoustic Trauma can happen instantly after 130dB. Anything over 80 dB can start to cause damage after 30 minutes (as an example, a common household hair dryer is about 85dB). Sooooo.........

<Off the record, I do kinda dig it especially with the cool red pump>

Actually, I know all too well what you are talking about e$. I have a pretty severe case of tinnitus. Raging concerts and shooting a lot of guns with no ear protection in my younger days. Now I'm paying for it, bummer.

Hey, I won't tell the other guys you like the new beeper;)

Freak!:p You know they make 'em where they play the theme form "Dukes of Hazzard". I hear that's very popular in Midland.:p

Just make sure the horn won't get in the way of fishing. It's all fun and games until you wrap up your fishing line in your bling-bling horn and lose a ten pound walleye.

Like the boat. The white paint and chrome look pretty neat.

Jason - a few things from the past few days:

Let there be light and lots of it. The LEDs look great. Got plans for livewell lighting?

Loud horns are good horns! A smaller, low profile boat should have a loud one simply so your boat can be located easily when danger threatens. It's hard to miss the big Islander. I'm on the fence as to if a trumpet belongs on the SN but as you have voiced in the forum many times "You have a blank canvas so do what you want". I'm with you on that and it's your boat. I can tell by your maniacal laugh in the vid that YOU like it. :D All good!

For 13 years that nice lady has been sharing your life. If you wanna make 14 don't blow that horn in the garage at 3 AM.

The magic day is getting close. The to-do list must be short. Rock on!

Ya know I was raggin on ya about the double trombones, but after seeing and hearing the single blaster, I have to admit...I like IT!:D

It actually kinda looks like it belongs on there...yep...pretty cool...

Happy Weekend...

Thumbs up on the horn.:D

"It's all fun and games until you wrap up your fishing line in your bling-bling horn and lose a ten pound walleye."

This made me laugh, and I agree 100%. Just keep the rod tip up.:)

But first you have to put a 10 pound walleye on the hook. How many will be around with Jason playing Tugboat Annie and hootin' his horn? :p
