That's brilliant. Had a heck of time with that when I did mine (and obviously the previous "restorer" did as well as his panels were all weird).

Yeah, good to hear from ya again. Where you been? Two kids keeping you busy???

Re: 1986 ss 201

Bow deck and new bow support done. After fitting the deck I marked the location of the aluminum under support so I could glue and screw a doubler to the underside for support for the seat pedistal.

I also glued and screwed a strip of 3/4 birch 15 ply x 2"on edge just in front of the doubler to stiffen the rear edge of the casting deck, this stops all flexing when you step on the edge.

Next photo is of the deck in place, with the new reshaped bow support. Notice the small black ring in the front piece, this a finger hole to allow removel of the front piece for storage underneath.

Last photo is of the seat installed on the deck.

Oh my goodness yes! The now 1 year old has been an amazing baby though. Nothing like her brother!

Bow deck looks great Glen. I think I may go for that shape when I redo mine.

Thanks Jim, how's the reno going? The side I'm going to change up a little. I'm going to vinyl the hull and redo the gunwal pads but make a little less tall so that I have a toe kick so to speak, underneath them.

Thanks Jason

Your woodwork always looks so nice, Glen. Even the stuff you're gonna cover with vinyl or carpet. Top notch as always..

Thanks GA.
I'm hoping to get some vinyl installed on the sides of the hull up front and the deck so they can be installed, I think I'm going to run short of material though!!!

Just enough vinyl, whew. Got the forward gunwals done, and the casting deck. Do a little final fit on the forward hatch cover and vinyl it.

See, ya covered all that nice woodwork with vinyl. :) The last pic with the Hbird on the console really shows how it's tying together. The blues and hammered dash - A-One. Can't wait to see the new gauges in place. Are you going for a SOTY repeat? :D

Thanks GA, ya we do all this nice wood work then hide it under vinyl, go figure. The hammered id working out well. As far as the SOTY goes I wasn't looking for it on the Naked Lady, and I doubt the mass's will let it stay north of the border for a second year.

Nice stuff there Bud, I will look into it via the internet, even Crappy Tire is an hour and a half away where I live.
