Nice mess o'fish, Dozer. Fess up now, who caught the most? You or the Admiral.
Great day of fishin' Glen!
I bet you and the Admiral made a few perch happy keeping those pike!!
Nice fish D!
I'm sure you'll get the prop & adjustments done & it'll go like a scalded cat...
Nice catch there... glad you made it off the lake in time... that's a whole lot of rain in a short period of time! I bet that would of given the ole bilge pump a test!
How did trimming the motor work? Give much more speed --- or did it just porpus? Just curious.... I would have thought you would be up in the mid 40's for sure...mmmmmmm.

I'm loving the fresh fish shots Glen, that's what it's all about buddy!:thumb:
oooh yeah. lovin them pike.
Thanks Guys The Admiral started out out-fishing me but experience won in the end. Still trying to figure out the speed issue, I know it should go faster than 38mph.
Maybe I missed it, but did you get her up to the correct RPM with a different prop? Is the lower unit the correct gear ratio for the motor?
What speed(theoretically) does a prop calculator say you should be doing with your setup?
That's a bummer man. I'd be thinking mid 40's range minimum with that combo.
The fact that it won't pull more RPM makes me def think its motor-health related rather than prop related.
Compression and spark are good?
I'm in Canada now... cold, windy, and wet!
oh and our plane landed going sidewards, a very strange feeling...

Compression is 145 across the board, Spark I assume is good. It starts, runs, idles, and pulls to 42-4300 smooth as silk.
Welcome to Canada Buddy, your probably experiencing the weather that went through here Sunday.
Sometimes it's something simple like the throttle linkage isn't quite adjusted right to allow for WOT to occur....

I was going to suggest the same thing as Jim. Then I thought, nah, Dozer's been to the rodeo before.
