Briggs and Stratton have an electric outboard called the "E-Tec" which has a peak performance of 15 horse and a steady output of 8 horse.The whole thing weighs about 21 pounds.Seeing that a regular 8 horse weighs roughly 65 pounds and the fuel, say 2 gallon,weighs 16 pounds,we have about 60 pounds for batteries and we are still in the same weight class.If you have a spare battery,refuelling is as easy as changing batteries.
