Postman dropped a few things off today.....

Getting closer to having all i need to get started. That resin is the part that will take the longest to get....and can't use any of this without it....

Now that,s more like it!!

You know I have that roll of paper, I could put a bunch of layers down to keep it clean. Sort of like lining the bottom of a bird cage, ya know?

1 roll would not be sufficient, I can assure you. They are beady eyed, smart, flea-bag, rabies carrying, sneaky, filthy little beasts. They'd shred the paper 1st, then ransack the joint. Not just bad manners, bad spellers too...Racoons:facepalm: missing the 2nd C...

BTW: GT1M & I are making a list of vendor pricing by material

US Composites is huge favorite on all materials in general. Depending on shipping there are a few others that make the top 2 or 3 for resin.....

I did very similar. I used a spreadsheet to track what I would need to spend on materials.

I have been working on the trailer this past week. This led to paint decisions...

Which led to boat colors.....

So many choices....

Will have to see if I like the choice this weekend...

Stay tuned.....

And everyone have a safe, productive weekend!

Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy

Well today did not go exactly as planned.

Wife started mowing on Thursday and threw the drive belt. I picked up a replacement yesterday...the wrong one...doh...so had to go get thr right one.

While I was there I remembered I needed some iron pipe to put on the glass holder.

What I forgot, was a drill to fit for the pipe....

Got the belt put in mower....clanking and won't pull itself in forward, works fine in reverse.

So I adjust everything I can see that might impact the ability to run in forward gear. Still not working right. Decided I will pull the transmission out of it. 2007 46" Yard-Man, can't find anything on net that goes along with the symptoms. Maybe after I tear into it I'll find the problem.

Got miffed at the mower, because it was taking time away from my work on the trailer.

Got the axles and most of everything else off the trailer. Lifted it, ready for some sanding/wire brushing.

Will be putting Primer on tomorrow, or so I hope.

I hate to put primer/paint on the trailer knowing it needs some welding done on it.

Looks like someone hung it on something and nearly ripped the back off of it. These straps were put on as an attempt to strengthen I'd say. Would have been better to put them underneath to hold the frame square. I will have to fix this. There are also a couple cracks in the joints that need fixed.

Anyone have comments on those >$100 welders at HF? Worth the trouble? Will it do what I needs done here? Should I just find someone that can come over and fix it right with a big welder?

Sorry bout the mower troubles Troop. Me and my son in law to be used a wire feed welder on his trailer and it worked ok.But he only has a little 16 ft trihull. Your boat is much bigger and heavier. I would suggest letten someone with a stick welder do it.
