I think you are going to be ok on this one. I know it's a scary feeling to see all of this. I have my own nightmares.
Just keep working and you will be done soon.
Troop,
Was there fuel or oily gunk under the tank when you removed it? If so this could have leached into the glass and caused this problem. Just a thought. But hey, what do I know, I'm just a![]()
Trooper, I was looking and thinking about the delam in the pics. Did you notice if there was any csm between the woven roven layers when you where grinding. The woven roven has to have a layer of csm between them and be laided up wet on wet for it to bond correctly.
This could be the cause of the delam. It looks like there is csm just under the white color but from there I can't tell.
Maybe YD or OOPS could tell from the pics.
Have a good day.
The patch looks good from here.
OK, sooo.... I believe you said this is the Ski Locker Right? So.... You can do the same thing from the inside too?????
Patch work looks just about perfect. Just a scuff & some fairing filler, it'll be looking real good.
Great to see someone HANDLING the glassing challenges as they come up. You & SP are getting it down. Well done
Lots of the tin folk fanning the flames lately as another glasser gets towed to the dump.
RIP JL II
Congrats on getting over the hump!
Just got caught up on this one. You're doing great work and I look forward to seeing the finished piece. Good luck!
