Well running WOT does allow you to make sure that the engine is functioning properly through the entire RPM band. If you weren't able to get to WOT rpms, there may be something wrong with the engine or prop selection. I don't think in this context it constitutes a d!ck measuring contest. I would guess your boat runs close to 50mph top end. I don't think that will scare anybody on the boat unless you try while the waves are white-capping!
LOL I'm sure I can make my boat fly and scare the heck out of myself and family.I reserve all that power for Pulling Skiers, tubers, Ect.
