Yes, I missed the point of allegiance to country's etc. At this point they do not look like a team, but 11 exceptionally skilled players.<br />We have a radio announcer, Mick Malloy (prankster/commedian)who reckoned he saw Lara at the Races on Sat, and that night part of the team at Sweet Suzzies. <br />Reminds me of not so many days gone by when certain visiting teams considered an Aussie Tour a great all expences paid holiday in the sun, with the drag of having to turn up for the occasionally game of cricket.<br />But........I really hope we see some great cricket in the Tests to come, because that is what I enjoy.<br />Cheers<br />Phillip

Stumps on the first day: Australia have had a good day, I was suprised to see the score card this AM after Harmison & Freddie took early wickets. Hayden forgot to hop around on 1 leg while holding his left ear by the look of it.<br /><br />Like all test matches we will have to wait till the end of the first innings.

Should have raised this point a week back.<br />On TV we saw your beloved leader G Wubble-You with a cricket bat in hand facing a bowler (with a tennis ball) in either India or Pakistan (think India).<br />Well, over here he wouldn't have made the Grade 4 Girls Team, but the Man did have a go, and I respect him for that (seriously). <br />(I could probably name several Leaders who wouldn't have the nuts to try something different).<br />I will bet he has a different view on the game now. It,s lucky that it was only a tennis ball. The first delivery he faced was a beamer that hit him on the shoulder, it would have been quite a bruise if it had been the real leather.<br /><br />Grade 4 girls team??, if GWB had an Aussie passport I think Mr Pontings days would have been numbered (not that they arn't already)<br /><br />

Did you watch the same game as me Stan??<br /><br />The England lads did rather well I thought, some very good batting from Fred & GOJO and the bowling was first class.<br /><br />What a catch from Bell, you won't see many like that.<br /><br />

From the pictures I saw, I thought the balls final bounce was off his scone, dead centre.<br />I think GW learnt something from that. All those nations who have no understanding off the game, and probably very verbal in their "that's a sissy's game", could learn something from that news clip......you know, a big big bat, a very slow soft ball, a big swing.....and a complete miss......then the amazed look on the face that says.... where the f...hell did that go......jeeeez, was that my head it hit? <br />All been there, done that...to many times.<br />Cheers<br />Phillip

England have got a lot to do tomorrow. They will need to bat till tea and have a lead of at least 180 to stand a chance of saving this game. The Indian spin bowlers have been totaly dominant today and they have put thier team into a fantastic position.<br />I hate to say it but I can see an Indian win by 6 wickets.

Me thinks thats a typo: It should read "Kumble was the last man to fall....."
