Re: Moving a 30ft boat 450 miles on a converted mobile home trailer
You guys are awesome!
I have a friend that is a boat builder. He knows his business very well and I am lucky to have him as a friend. He came up to orchestrate the floating of her. With his instruction we took a lot of measurements and did a lot of weight shifting to see how she floated. But when he put that long rope on the bow and shoved me off the dock I got a bit choked up. It felt free and like my dream was starting to become a reality and at the same time I knew that I had her home and all the stress (atleast at that moment..haha) of moving her was over. Its really hard to describe how it felt but it was awesome
And whats up with the spammer? Them guys really are everywhere. I like to say I build websites for a living but really I should say that I "Used to build websites for a living". Its more of a hobby now I guess. That guy had me fooled! I noticed it was his first post and at first thought maybe it was a spammer, but then I thought maybe it was just someone being dense. Not me, I am never dense
You know when I first read about having a boat transporter move it. Honestly my first thought was "Yeah right, maybe in California or New York". Live and learn right? I am so glad ya'll were here to help and give me your honest opinions!
@ezmobee, that pictures rocks and I am still laughing outloud from reading it yesterday. I will admit that I have not shown my wife that picture yet
So you are all welcome to come visit and see the boat anytime ya want, just give me a little notice so I can clean the house.
I know this is a bit off topic but the wife and I are working on buying this house. It has a smaller shop that will be perfect for working on my center console and this pole barn that I am hoping to partially finish to work on the big boat. This is the pole barn
