Here are pics of how I did it which seems like it was the hard way ... lol.
First I made a template of the old windshield out of paper:

Then I traced the template onto 1/8 Lexan and cut it out with a jigsaw and a very fine blade:

Then I forced it into the old frame and put in some screws and rivets to hold it in. I also put a bead of 5200 between the Lexan and the frame to seal it:

Then, after what seemed like days of trimming and cutting, I was able to get it to lay down kind of close to where I needed it and I bolted it to the bow:

I think because the old windshield had a sort of "bubble" in it my template was off a bit which caused me to have to trim and cut to get it to fit.

That came out awesome. Redoing those old shields is a major challenge for many restorers, you should be very proud of how that came out.

Yeah, I looked all over for a similar windshield for my Jupiter and couldn't find squat (or they were hella expensive). I finally decided I would have to settle for a modern 3 piece glass windshield and figured I'd have to build something up to account for the curvature of the deck. Fortunately luck was on my side and when I set the new shield up there and angled it out a little bit, it sat like 90% flat. After screwing it down it looked like it belonged there. On your boat though, a more period looking shield was definitely in order.

Hey ez .... that windshield on your boat looks factory the way it fit. It's hard to tell that it didn't come that way. I thought about something like yours or maybe making one of those wood framed ones. Oh well, it's done and I don't have to worry about it now.

It is supposed to keep down vibration also. I happen to see one at the boat store and wondered if anyone uses something like this.

Hey Decker glad you stopped by. That windshield was a pain and doesn't look professional up close (just a good camera angle ... lol) but it looks better then what was on there.
