Probably too hot for the moderator to tolerate.

I would have thought after your last thread containing a lot of basically childish behavior, that you would have learned something about the mindset of most people who contribute to these forums.

I guess not.

BTW, your idea of responsibility in regard to downing three hard drinks and then going swimming, as something that will makes us happy that you don't drink and then drive, doesn't impress me. Two weeks ago, the daughter of two friends of mine did the same thing. She is now dead.

Do you know what a mikes hard lemonade is? 3 of them is probably the same thing as 1 beer.

Either way

I drink 2 or 3, THEN go swimming, then hiking, drinking water the whole time and 4 to 5 hours later I leave.

Sorry if you can't handle that, but I assure you I would pass whatever test you want to throw at me.

Also - what childish post? You mean the one with girls in bikini's on my boat? Man you've got to learn to relax buddy.

I thought he was talking about the post where you chase people around and beat them up. Most people gave that stuff up around the second or third grade .....

Boy, times have changed since I was a young.

Nobody in their right mind would have taken being alone with a laptop over the challenge of getting into a girls drawers in 1.5 hours or less while boating.

Another thought on the subject...

I've made mention of this before, but for the most part I try to invite only known water people to the lake if I plan on spending the whole day there cruising and such.

If it's somebody's first time, I definitely don't plan on a full day, and usually have them meet me at the ramp, so if they have to, or want to go, it's just a matter of pulling up dockside and saying later.

Water people are the best people, and even if they don't own boats, they know that nothing is for certain on the water in a boat.

Just my .02

My goal while hanging out with girls and such isn't always "get in their drawers" sometimes they are just friends. Maybe i've just experienced enough of that to not be that desperate that I have to make my life about it.

It was a good time ! Thanks for asking. Just as I made this post a boat with 3 friends pulled up to the beach I was at and we hung out for a few hours. I was posting from my phone for the rest of the time. Got some sun, about 4 hours of time...and then went in.

Of course I had 3 chicas who wanted to come out today - and it's cloudy.

Got an empty right here in the kitchen....5% alcohol - same as all the beer empties sitting beside it. :D

Rather than be a priss, teetotaler, or any other kind or moral judge (we've all probably had some wicked hangovers in our time - and continue to do so) we're trying to communicate that it's a well known fact combining alcohol with boating is not the same as drinking on your deck. Sun, wind, boat motion all contribute to impairing you more than on land when alcohol is introduced to the equation.

Downing three in quick succession and hanging out swimming sounds nice, but there's probably a good chunk of time where you're not going to be as competent as you should be to operate the boat. Around here it's called being in care and control of the vessel - even if you are anchored.

Should you have to jump to the helm suddenly on short notice to do something before your expected couple of hours relaxing has elapsed, that's when it gets dangerous.

Just some food for thought. Glad you had a good day on the water though. I'm stuck at home doing yard work...

You know that got me thinking, this chick was alone willing to join a male friend alone out in a boat, I'm thinking she's set time restraints as a safety net to have some control, most women are going to play that in some shape or form, just in case they don't like you, but then if She likes you you'll find out how quick plans can change.

Probably not in this case tho. They've known eachother for 10+ years I believe. Actually, he probably had plenty of girls on his boat, he did have his laptop....;) Just kidding. Couldn't resist......:)

Re: Non-boaters, do we blame them??? Just left a girl at the dock!

Invited this girl out with me today. She's been looking forward to it all week. As she shows up she mentions that she has to be back IN at 3:30pm.

I don't care.

I apologized but told her there is no way I'm going to be back at the dock at 3:30. However I told her she's welcome to come out tomorrow if she can stay out later and she accepted.

I don't care

It's 30 min ride in the no wake zone on the boat.

I don't care

Do they just not realize that 3:30 on a saturday is prime time beautiful boat time? I also don't want to waste the gas and TIME going in and out twice.

I don't care

So now I'm out here listening to a radio show, drinkin a few drinks alone. However this is 200% better then being on some girls time schedule -

I don't care

Glad I brought the laptop!!

And finally, I don't care.

Who give a rip about this kind of story. It happens in boating sure, but it happens in just about every aspect of life and you think this is something different???

Sorry, my fault, you're right - wrong clown!

It was Sportsmanphil that posted about chasing people down and beating them up.
